Collective labor relations and juridification: A marriage proposal

Contributing to debates over relations between the collective and juridified regulation of labor, this article analyzes a rich case study in Israeli construction sector claim that juridification can spur unions employers’ associations initiate strategic inclusive change. By subsuming processes into traditional IR frameworks embracing its logic practices, corporatist social partners broaden relevance labor workers otherwise excluded from direct union representation. In way, while not increasing density or improving wages, these ‘traditional’ actors reassert their monopolistic control worker employer representation, as well sectoral market.
